Omega Music offers three levels of services and their fees may vary based on the quantity of work that each instrument demands. Note that there’s an additional fee for each work done that’s not included in our service plans.
Aside from our service plans below, we also do personalized customizations including modifications in shape, height, and certain mechanisms according to your needs, requirements and preferences. Thorough Check
Basically, it’s a type of repair to bring an instrument into its perfect working condition, we:
- Make sure that all pads are shutting correctly
- Replace damaged corks and felts
- Ensure that the modification is right among linked keys
- Check the fitting of the joints and do adjustments if needed
- Give a general cleaning to the instrument
- Apply lubrication to the keywork and other mechanisms where there is a need
General Service
This plan comprises all the services in Thorough Check plus more, we:
- Completely strip down and polish the instrument
- Check and replace damaged corks or felts of the pad sealing
- Refit the keywork
- Remove scratches and dents
- Totally discharge the used oil and re-oil as well as rectify the keys on cork instruments
- Adjust or replace joint corks as needed
- Totally stabilize and modify what needs to be done on the instrument
Overhaul and Rebuild
This plan will make the instrument look like brand new as close as possible. We do this by applying our General Service and we:
- Fully disassemble the instrument
- Detach the end play or longways mechanism movement from the keywork
- Replace all the pads including the felts and corks
- Completely re-cork the joints of corked instruments
