Omega Music

About Us

Omega Music (UK) Ltd. was founded in 1987 and initially specialised in the supply of musical instruments and equipment to schools and colleges across the U.K., as well as our retail shop at our base on the trading estate in Brampton, North Cumbria – about 10 miles from Carlisle. The Educational side of our business is still an important aspect of what we do – we are one of the U.K.’s main suppliers in the field- and it has provided us with the experience and an infrastructure to operate an efficient mail order business.
Over the years, this has been extended to internet sales- in fact we were one of the first music businesses with a website, back in 1996 – positively paleolithic in web terms! Of course you couldn’t ‘click to basket’ in those days but nevertheless we were right there at the start of the new internet age.

The Directors and several of our office staff are graduates and practising musicians, (classically trained , rock and electric folk) and between us we have a great deal of knowledge about different kinds of musical instruments. We are definitely not just ‘box shifters!’ Our ethos is to be helpful and friendly in our service and within the music industry Omega Music has a very strong reputation for honest opinions and integrity.

Our retail store has undergone many changes, the most recent of which has transformed it into a sales area for our website, as well as for the everyday accessories customers have always bought from us. It serves a wide area from S.W. Scotland, across towards Hexham and down into West Cumbria and the Lakes.
