Cymbals

Cymbals are some of the oldest musical instruments and date back to the beginnings of metal working. Modern cymbals are made of alloys of brass or bronze and come in two main types - pressed (sheet) which are less expensive - and cast,  which produce much richer sounds. There are several major manufacturers, all with a dozen or so different ranges - so there is a huge number of individual cymbals to choose from.

We have put together a small selection at the various price points. We have concentrated on the Paiste cymbals, made in Switzerland and Germany, and Sabian - from the company formed by Robert Zildjian to develop and improve on cymbals by the established Zildjian family firm. The cast cymbals we have selected are from the Sabian AAX range.
